Hit a local thrift store and trade your traditional Office Space desk for a vintage oak table. Don't need a lot of work surface? A high vanity and matching chair could work. Work in pops of color with fresh flowers, or pick up an over-sized faux potted plants at your local Ikea. Go ahead and splurge on desk accessories that pull the whole thing together and say “This is where I mean business!” An energized room will make those early mornings less painful.
